The Stealth Acoustics Model 228 Series 2 is an in-wall flat panel speaker system that becomes invisible when installed. The panel measures 16 by 22 inches and mounts directly to the structural framing, replacing the wall board. The panel has an active area that moves and is surrounded by a solid mounting frame. The panel is secured to the mounting frame, and the drywall is bonded to the panel to create a seamless transition. The unique construction of this panel allows for installation in walls and ceilings with framing members spaced as narrow as 9-1/2". The surface on the face of the panel is designed to be painted with latex based products. Light texture or wallpaper can also be applied.

This product is very easy to install. The graphics printed on the face of the speaker include basic installation notes that will disappear when painted over.

The active area of the panel is powered by a hybrid system combining an NXT steered flux exciter for the high frequencies with a conventional 8" woofer for the low frequencies. Both devices are built to stand the test of time and are protected well below their maximum operating levels from excessive power input.
