Stealth STX8 Invisible Flat Panel Stereo Speaker System

The Stealth Acoustics model STX8 is a two-way, full-range two channel stereo loudspeaker system that becomes completely invisible after installation. The loudspeaker has a rigid frame which attaches directly to standard structural framing without the need for special mounting brackets. The paintable active diaphragm face is a structurally modified three layer composite consisting of two layers of graphics grade paper with a foam core. The diaphragm is bonded to the frame of the speaker panel, creating an active area surrounded by a stable mounting area. Basic installation instructions are shown on a removable cover sheet that is to be removed before taping and finishing begins. The face of the panel has been pre-primed and is ready to receive finishing materials. The edges of the panel are tapered similar to the edges of gypsum wallboard, providing the room necessary for normal wallboard tape and joint compound to be used to feather the speaker seamlessly into the wall. The STX8 comes equipped to match 1/2” wallboard. Shim material is provided for thicker wallboard installations. On-site finishing options include latex paint, light wallpaper, fabrics and selected texture coats. There is no need for special vellums or other nonstandard wallboard finishing
materials.

The Stealth STX8 incorporates an acoustically coupled high quality, high-power 8” cone, dual voice coil woofer and two direct coupled 25mm neo-magnet high-frequency motors. Advanced internal carbon fiber materials allow for smooth frequency extension to 20 kHz. When the STX8 is installed in standard insulated 2x4 framing and allowed to function in a full 8’ stud bay, frequency response below 45 Hz can be achieved. The STX8 contains independent crossover sections and protection circuits (high-frequency and low-frequency sections) for each channel, that automatically reset upon reduction of excessive amplifier power.

Stealth Acoustics’ invisibility offers a powerful advantage over other loudpeakers, as they can be placed wherever they sound best, free of visual concerns that may conflict with architectural features. Accompanying the full range panels, Stealth Acoustics offers the B1630, a completely invisible companion subwoofer solution for extended low frequency response. All Stealth Acoustic products are covered by a 5-year manufacturers warranty as well as an optional 15 year extended warranty.
